David Baazov is a Canadian entrepreneur best known as the founder and former CEO and Chairman of Amaya Inc. (now The Stars Group). Baazov began his career in technology and telecommunications before founding Amaya in 2004. Under his leadership, Amaya grew rapidly, culminating in the landmark $4.9 billion acquisition of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker in 2014, which transformed Amaya into a global leader in online gaming. Baazov stepped down from his roles at Amaya in 2016.
